Tractel Swingstage Roofcars provide a complete system of access to all
external parts of the building. Access to the platform
and to its garage is from the roof and the operator has
nothing to assemble or dismantle. Built-in safety devices
control and monitor all operations to ensure complete
operator safety and piece of mind for the building owner.
The incorporation of the hoist into the roof carriage removes limitations on size and weight, thereby permitting the hoist unit to be more substantial and allowing greater carrying capacity on the suspended platform. The placement of the hoist at roof level also removes limitations imposed by the need to feed power to the platform - and usually makes these systems the only solution for very tall structures.
The platform is lifted and lowered using the TWIN-TIRAK® dual wire rope powered hoist - an original design and technical advance for Building Maintenance Units. Manufactured within the TRACTEL Group, the TWIN-TIRAK is recognized throughout the world as being adaptable to the tallest buildings.
To eliminate heavy control cables hanging down the facade, potentially dangerous in windy conditions, TRACTEL has developed the MAGTRONŽ system - another original design. The MAGTRON system uses the wire rope to transmit all control and safety instructions, as well as the telephone communications, without any external interference.
All TRACTEL Building Maintenance units are completely self-stable. Heavily galvanized, TRACTEL machines are designed and made to withstand the most destructive effects of severe weather conditions.
Roofcars travel on concrete runways or I-beam or pipe track mounted to
the roof or parapet. Track can be supplied by TRACTEL,
or existing track systems can be used when a system is
being upgraded.
SENIOR models suit a wide variety of buildings, allowing access to the
facade with integrated safety devices as standard and a range
of options to suit the application.
