Stabilization Anchors
STABILIZATION ANCHORS
|
Stabilization Anchors must be installed in buildings over 130' (75' in New York and 150' in Canada), with the first being no more then 50' from the top of the building. The vertical distance between anchors must be no more then 50' or 3 floors whichever is less.
There are two standard systems in use Intermittent Stabilization Anchors and Continuos Mullion Guide

Intermittent Stabilization Anchors (ISA's), There are two basic types detent pin or shoulder bolt type |

Roof rigged only – cannot be used with boatswains chairs |

Does not allow for platform transfers |

Inserts (sleeves) used with ball-lock pins (not approved in NY) |

Shoulder Bolt style used with custom clips |

Anchors to be located vertically every 3 floors or 50' (40' in NY) whichever is less |

Anchors to be located under the horizontal approximately below every rigging point or the length of the platform |

Not allowed in New York over 490' |
